Mid South Tournament 2011 pics

Words from our Regional Ambassador about the tournament:

Wow...what can I say? 195 players registered and 193, from eleven states, actually played over three days at the fantastic Pelican Park in Mandeville, LA. The tournament began with a social which included a Louisiana cuisine dinner, a zillion door prizes, raffles, and live entertainment for the approximately 140 participants and guests attending.

Then it was three days of the best , and intense competition we have had in the three years of this tournament. Although we had a couple hic-cups, I don't think anyone can complain about the venue or the friendlyness of those in attendance. We can only keep getting larger, as there are another 12 courts waiting for us to grow into. (That will make 27 courts in all).

Kudos to all who had anything to do with this great event, from delivering ice, water, food, putting down court tape, taking it back up, being a ref, taking pictures, cooking or setting up for the social, obtaining door prizes, running the score tables, finding players for the next match, handing out medals, providing first aide, singing the national anthem, delivering and putting up the nets, the players who traveled great distances to attend, keeping the snack-mobile and lunch wagon manned, and more that I am sure I have inadvertantly left out. A special thanks to the people of Mandeville for allowing the game with a funny name to invade their community. We hope to see all of you back next year.
